What is Wave Splitter
Wave Splitter from Claudiosoft is a freeware utility that allows you to extract a sample from a .wav file
without loading it into memory. No matter how big your source wave file is (it may be hundreds of megabytes!), if you want to
sample a part of it, you can do it very quickly, without wasting RAM.

fixed : memory leak while using the graph panel.
June 5, 2000 - Version 2.00 final
added : you can now use drag-and-drop a .wav file from
Windows Explorer to Wave Splitter to set up the
input file,
added : multi-language support - please write to us
if you are interested in translating Wave
Splitter in your own language (English, French,
Italian translations are already made),
added : HTML help file (you can launch it by pressing F1),
added : hypertext links in the About panel,
changed : amplitude coefficient is always > 1 (sounds
more logical),
changed : normalisation amplitude computation has been
slightly modified (the max value is now 32000
instead of 30000, but yes, the theoritical value
is 32767),
changed : Zoom in now keeps on zooming every time it is
pressed and Zoom out should now be more stable,
fixed : when reloading a file, normalisation coefficients
are now reset,
fixed : the jump to position button wasn't working in the
previous version,
fixed : clicking on the Graph button without having set an
input file was launching a box "Terminated due to
errors".

fixed : wssetup.exe would install beta 1 instead of beta 2 (we strongly apologize for this stupid mistake !)

added : installation/uninstallation procedure,
fixed : loop without autoplay works now,

fixed : with specific regional settings, Wave Splitter would not work if non-integer coefficients were applied,

added : the output file can be normalized by adjusting amplitude and offset,

Translations
If you feel interested in translating Wave Splitter in your own language, please have a look at the readme file and send us the resource files.
English is natively supported. Translations that have been already made are :
- French (because we are :-)), included in Wave Splitter setup file,
- Italian (many thanks to Brokkolo) included in Wave Splitter setup file,
- Dutch (thanxs to Siem de Wit) : download the language pack,
- Spanish (thanxs to Angel E. GarcÍa Calatayud) : download the language pack.

Wave Splitter HTML Help requires the HTML Help runtimes. You have them if you are running Windows 98/98 Second Edition/Millennium/2000 or if you have Windows 95/NT4
with Internet Explorer 4 or later installed. If this is not the case, you can download the official file from our web site.
Download HTML Help 1.32 (latest version for Windows 95/98/98SE/NT, all languages, August 2000) - 733 KB.
Anyway, for those of you who want to stick with Netscape, we have gathered an offline version of the help pages into a zip file.
And for those who don't like setup programs, here is the .zip file without the installer:
Installation Instructions
Simply unzip the file to a directory of your choice (you may need Winzip for that) and run the executable file from there.
